You’re not mine

Maybe you’re not mine to be fixed,
But it hurts to see you broken.
Wish I could breathe life in you
Alas! I’m but an angel of death
The starry skies have failed to save you
From the demons of this abysmal night
Smiling through the shadows of defeat and despair
I can still hear you crying inside…
Darling I was forbidden to love
Now your wounded soul bleeds my heart
Poison cannot be the right accessory
On the naive lips of an innocent
Neither blood from a nymph’s eye
Is the right choice for an ingredient
The fear of losing you from sight
Will never justify the eyes I might blind
And the lives that may get crushed
In the drunkenness of rage
So I must drop my blade this time
And for the dawns that are yet to shine
You’ll heal by the time I’m gone
I’ll let myself crack a little more
